Al-Qadr

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 97:1

   إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ ۝١

   Innā anzalnāhu fī lailatil-qadr(i).

   Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree.

2. 97:2

   وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ ۝٢

   Wa mā adrāka mā lailatul-qadr(i).

   And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?

3. 97:3

   لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ۝٣

   Lailatul-qadri khairum min alfi syahr(in).

   The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

4. 97:4

   تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ ۝٤

   Tanazzalul-malā'ikatu war rūḥu fīhā bi'iżni rabbihim min kulli amr(in).

   The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.

5. 97:5

   سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ ۝٥

   Salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭla‘il-fajr(i).

   Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
